L’arrêté du 7 novembre 2014 fixe le cadre réglementaire concernant l’adaptation réversible de série de certains types de véhicules. Ainsi, le constructeur d’un véhicule peut déclarer l’adaptabilité réversible d’un véhicule de tourisme (VP) en VASP. La carrosserie renseignée en J.3 de la carte grise sera dans ce cas « Deriv VP ».
Il s’agit en effet de la possibilité prévue par le constructeur, de poser un équipement spécifique pour un usage et une durée déterminée. Cet équipement pourra être retiré pour rendre le véhicule de nouveau conforme à son type d’origine. Cette adaptation réversible de série est uniquement limitée aux transformations VP – VASP.
La modification d’un VP en VASP Deriv VP doit être enregistrée sur la carte grise de celui-ci dans les 30 jours suivants l’adaptation. Celle-ci doit par ailleurs être faite par un professionnel agréé par le constructeur afin de pouvoir délivrer une attestation d’adaptation réversible de série. Ce document est obligatoire pour obtenir la carte grise Deriv VP.
